About

Living as an out transgender male has not come without its costs.

Like many trans people of color, I've suffered anti-transgender bias in my multiple year quest to find meaningful employment. Rejection after rejection letter left me feeling defeated as my finances severely shrank--leaving me on the brink of bankruptcy.

My inability to find a job--any job--led to a severe depression that prohibited me from actualizing emotional, physical and spiritual happiness. I felt hopeless and pessimistic about the future of my life and the lives of other trans people of color like me.

As my depression deepened, I wondered why there wasn't an organization that helped trans people of color with professional experience secure jobs? I sought out organizations but found none that made this a priority. It was then that I knew it was my duty to start one using my experience as a catalyst for change.

Who We Know is designed to have a lasting impact in the trans people of color community by offering meaningful employment that makes a social impact. I believe that by giving trans people of color the opportunity to transform anti-transgender bias, we can help keep our community alive.

We ALL deserve to be leaders.
